ネタニヤフが繰り返して言う「ハマスを完膚なきまで破滅させるまでイスラエル軍は攻撃を止めない」というのは、バイデンの本望でもある。しかしイスラエル軍によるパレスチナ避難地区での病院、学校、避難民キャンプへの攻撃による惨状や、国際世論や国連決議,の勧告を受けて、ジョーバイデン大統領は停戦を提案せざる終えなかった。
最終停戦案をハマスに承諾させたバイデンは、しかし再びネタニヤフ政権に提案拒否されて飼い犬に噛まれた飼い主ごとく引き下がり、大統領選を前に支持率が1８％と下がる一方だ。
ネタニヤフも人質の命を顧みないため、テルアビブで10万人のデモが起こるなど、立場が危うい。
戦争は終わらない。
武器を欲しがる国がある限り武器産業は、製品を一挙にではなく少しずつ出して戦争を長引かせ、武器供給が続くように、永久に儲かり続けるようにたくらむ。笑いが止まらない死の商人の前でネタニヤフもバイデンも、最後まで踊り続ける。
完全停戦は遠い。
それでも、パレスチナ人が自分たちのアラブの国を樹立する権利と願いを破壊することは、誰にもできない。

The Israel can defeat Hamas, but they are unable to undermine the spirit of the Palestinians in the struggle for their legitimate rights, for the right to establish their own Arab state.
